Under Control

Residents living in Cameron’s fifth ward near the 1000 block of 6th Street had an emergency on Christmas Day when a water line broke. Residents R.L. Canady, Danny Smith and Sharon Smith would like to thank Councilman Cliff Cryer for his immediate response to the problem. Upon inspection it was determined that a blowout was imminent and a crew was sent to the site. The small spout erupted into a spout that reached a height of about 50 feet. Emergency crew workers were able to find a way of cutting off the water and bringing the spout under control.
