Nine vying for BISD board

Early voting for Buckholts ISD Board of Trustees election began on April 19 and runs through April 27. Election day is May 1.
Nine people are vying for three open seats on the school board.
The three seats currently belong to Kerri Hernandez, Leslie Lorenz, and Jessie Benavidez.
The nine candidates are Diana Alvarado, Jessie Benavidez, Angel Carrasco, Yesenia Duran, Kerri Hernandez, Leslie Lorenz, James Shelton, Ronnie Tanner, and Chevo Velez.
Early voting runs through April 27 at the Buckholts ISD Administration building from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. The office will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 21 and 27.
Election day voting will be downtown at the community center from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
