Milam County Tax Office will remain closed

Both locations of the Milam County Tax Office will remain closed to public until further notice. As before, a skeleton crew will be on hand Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to answer phones and process mail.

For vehicle registrations and title transfers, at this time the 60-day waiver issued by Governor Abbott is still in effect.

Effective April 28, 2020, anyone that needs to transfer a title will need to call the Tax Office on Tuesdays or Thursdays at times listed to set up an appointment. Appointments will be set up for Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at times set by Tax Office. All title transactions will be processed thru side window, no one allowed in the lobby. Instructions on the appointment process will be given when appointment is set. At this time, we will continue to process all car dealerships as we have been doing these past few weeks, Tuesday and Thursday only.

If you must register your vehicle you may do so online at www.txdmv.gov . You may also place in Cameron location drop box or mail your form of payment (listed below) along with copies of renewal notice, inspection receipt, current insurance and driver’s license. Also include a current address and phone number.

For taxes you may place payment in mail or in Cameron’s drop box or pay online at www.milamcounty.net or www.milamad.org. You may pay with debit/credit card by phone also on Tuesdays & Thursdays between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
