Man dies after being struck by train

A man is dead after getting hit by a train in Milam County early this morning.
Milam County authorities are investigating after a man walking along the tracks was struck by a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train about 4:30 a.m. today near US190 and CR116.
Milam Couny Sheriff Chris White said the man in his 30s did not appear to take evasive action as the train approached and was struck and killed. The name of the man is not being released until next of kin have been notified. An autopsy has been ordered.
