KWTX’s Garrett to host event in Cameron

The longstanding chief forecaster for KWTX Channel 10, Rusty Garrett, is retiring this year and will be taking his weather forecast on the road as part of the festivities.
Cameron has been picked as one of five cities on their “radar” for their Weather on the Road event.
The community is invited to join the fun in downtown Cameron on the Downtown Square at Houston and 1st Street on June 20 from 5-7 p.m.
Activities will include a broadcast from Garrett during the 6 p.m. newscast and speakers Milam County Judge Steve Young and Cameron Mayor Connie Anderle.
There will be activities for the kids, music, free hot dogs and free Blue Bell ice cream sponsored by KWTX.
