COVID UPDATE: Only two new cases over the last two days

Good news for Milam County. There have only been two new cases of COVID reported over the last two days.

No new cases were reported on Thursday and only two on Friday.

"Today we have two new confirmed cases to report and one hospital admission," Milam County Judge Steve Young said. "Overall, our cases in the county have certainly come down.  I continue to urge everyone to keep up the good work by wearing a mask, keeping your distance and washing your hands.  State wide the numbers continue to rise dramatically with over 11,000 deaths and a positivity rate in excess of 14 percent.  The CDC now warn of a twin pandemic with the onset of the flu season.  We all need to get a flu shot before Halloween."

Milam County:

  1. Confirmed cases 402 up 2
  2. Active cases 31 up 3
  3. Probable 19 up 3
  4. Monitored individuals 85
    1. Total monitored 743
  5. Hospitalized 3 up 1
  6. Deaths 4 – no change
