COVID REPORT: County records 75th death due to virus

_{Today we report our 75th Milam County COVID-19 related death. We had three deaths last week and three the week before. A vaccination will prevent one from becoming seriously ill or dying from the virus. Please encourage vaccinations and be safe.}

_{We have seven new cases to report and 12 cases were discharged today, leaving 24 confirmed, active cases of the virus in the County.}

_{We had two new PCR cases, two discharged cases and one person was hospitalized.}

_{12 active cases (no change)}

_{1614 Probable cases (Antigen detected test results, not included in total case count)}

_{12 Active cases (minus 5)}

_{24 confirmed, active cases in Milam County.}

_{329 total hospitalized}

_{6 currently hospitalized (minus 1)}

_{Five individuals in serious condition and on ventilators.}

_{75 fatalities (plus 1)}

_Testing:

_{Today we tested 15 individuals in Rockdale of which 4 were positive for a 26.7 percent positivity rate.}

_{We will test again in Cameron on Thursday, Oct. 7, at the Cameron Fire Department.}
