CISD continues superintendent search

The Cameron ISD Board of Trustees will meet today to discuss candidates for superintendent. The board completed interviews with six candidates last week and will meet to discuss the applicants and decide the next steps to take in the process. They will meet in closed session for those discussions. The board plans to announce a final candidate by the end of this month or early May to replace Allan Sapp who is retiring from eduction after 34 years in August. The board accepted Sapp’s retirement and resignation in January. They have been working with TASB Executive Search Service to find a replacement. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the board room.
