Chamber Banquet set for Feb. 21

The Cameron Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the 89th Annual Awards Banquet on Feb. 21.  The banquet will be held at the Milam County Junior Expo Building located at 301 S. Houston. 

The theme this year is Picture Yourself in Cameron. Banquet sponsors are Citizens National Bank, Classic Bank, Jorgito Media, Legacy Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, and Capital Farm Credit. 

The evening will begin with a Wine and Cheese Reception at 6 p.m. sponsored by Citizens National Bank.  

Attendees will also have an opportunity to buy raffle tickets on items donated by local businesses and vendors.

The program this year will consist of speech by incoming President Spring Janke about Cameron Chamber of Commerce goals for 2023 and a video presentation spotlighting past, present and future of Cameron created by Jorge Fuentes of Jorgito Media. 

After the program, awards for Citizen of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Business of the Year, Dow Dodd Customer Service Award, Organization of the Year and other Chamber of Excellence Awards will be presented.  

Tickets are on sale at the Chamber office 102 E 1st Street or contact a board member. Tickets are $35 and still available, or you may reserve a table for $350, which includes 10 tickets. 

The meal will be catered by Circle S BBQ of Cameron. This month marks 23 years of Sam Berry in business in Cameron. The meal will be pork loin and chicken breast with all the sides and dessert.
