Accident claims Cameron man's life

A Cameron man is dead after a fiery accident on Monday.

According to Texas Department of Public Safety Information Officer Ryan Howard said that on Monday, Feb. 19, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to a crash on FM 2484 near FM 3481, west of Salado. A truck tractor semi-trailer traveling eastbound was unable to negotiate a curve properly, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and overturn. The vehicle became engulfed in flames.

The driver, Richard Glaser, 56, of Cameron, was pronounced dead at the scene.

DPS reminds everyone that whether cruising around the mountains or driving around a curve in your neighborhood, steering around curves can be potentially tricky and dangerous. When approaching curves, always scan ahead and stay between the lane lines.
