Texas Master Naturalists honored for education

The Texas Master Naturalists El Camino Real Chapter in Milam County was awarded this honor for all their dedication in educating the public on the beneficial management of our natural resources. The mission of the Texas Master Naturalist Program is to develop a corps of well-informed volunteers to provide education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities for the State of Texas. There are numerous reasons why becoming a Master Naturalist is a good idea. Members of our local chapter attended the annual conference held in McAllen this month. In November every Saturday will be Nature Days at the Wildscape. First one kicks off Nov. 4  at Wildscape at Bird and Bee Farm, 1369 County Road 334, Rockdale. Visit their Facebook page or website for more details about the organization and how to become a member.
