Community can help with downtown Christmas decor

Did you love Christmas in downtown Cameron this year? 

The community now has a chance to help fund additional magic with more displays for the 2024 holiday season.

“We have a phenomenal opportunity to leverage gifts for new decorations this year with yet again a private donor who is willing to match $1 for every $2 raised for new decorations,” Melanie Romine, Chair of the Cameron Industrial Foundation Downtown Initiative said. “This is a limited time offer. To qualify for the matching funds, we must receive donations by Feb. 15.”

Romine said the Industrial Foundation sought citizen input on a few possible new decorations during the Christmas Parade and S’Mores Night. 

The winners by far were two-dimensional Christmas Tree, Star, and Gift box, similar to those shown in the photo.

“We also received a few donations toward new decorations during these events and we extend our deepest appreciation for these citizens’ generosity,” she said.
