Commissioners appoint board members for ESD 1, POSGD

Two boards have been filled by the Milan County Commissioners Court.

County Commissioners selected individuals for the Board of Directors for the Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District and the Milam County ESD 1 last week in a special session of the Milam County Commissioners Court.

Those appointed to the Post Oak Savannah Groundwater District were: At-Large Position - Lee Pelzel (Rockdale); and Water Service Company Position - Robert Jekel (Cameron).

Commissioners appointed the following individuals to the newly-formed Emergency Services District 1 Board: Stephen Hanel (Cameron), Mike Reed (Gause), Kain Dodd (Milano), Rebecca Gerren (Rockdale), and Kimberly Knapek (Thorndale).

Milan County Judge Bill Whitmire said the Commissioners Court thanks everyone who applied and especially those who attended the interviews.
