Christmas Traditions Parade, Festival and Fireworks set for Dec. 7

Join The Cameron Chamber of Commerce, City of Cameron, and Cameron Industrial Foundation on Dec. 7 for Cameron’s Christmas Festival, Parade, and Fireworks.

The theme this year is “Christmas Traditions.”

Festivities kick off in our historic downtown square at 5 p.m. with music, food trucks, wine trucks, arts and crafts and more. Triple C Winery, En Gedi Vineyards, Cloud Nine Coffee, 5D Travelin’ Tavern, Kona Ice, Hot Corners, Fiesta Taco 2.0, Bahler Street Pizza, Bold Republic Brewing, Scoops, Iglesia de Dios Evangelicas, Modern Munchies, Princess Kettle Korn, and other food vendors will bring food and drinks to the downtown. They will be there before, during and after the parade.

There will also be Arts and Crafts Vendors and Farmers Market Vendors, including Manley Christopher Farms, Winnie Ford, New Vision Ministry Church, First Baptist Church, Izzo Pecan Farms, Ramworth Designs, Yareli’s Paradise, La Vie En Coco, Lonestar Lather, Sign Gypsies of Milam County, Party Snaps, Yellow Rose Tack & Supplies, and more.

EBCO General Contractor is the sponsor for the fireworks that will be featured after the parade.

“We appreciate your support of this event by bringing the fireworks to our parade festivities,” Chamber Director Melanie Reed said.  “Also, thank you to Haber Wealth Management who is a Christmas in Cameron Gold Sponsor. These sponsors help the chamber bring events like these to our community.  Be sure and thank them when you see them.”

Downtown Cameron will be hopping with Christmas Music at 5 p.m. with music before, during and after parade. At 5:30 p.m. Christmas Carolers will be singing Christmas Songs. At 6 p.m. there will be more live music until the parade begins.

At 6:30 p.m. the parade will start, and you don’t want to miss all the amazing floats and vehicles from our local businesses, organizations, and individuals that make Cameron come alive with Christmas-themed decorations and characters.

Santa will be downtown on the square after the parade and ready for pictures.

“Shop our local stores who will be open before the parade,” Reed said. “Check out all the renovations and downtown businesses that will be open such as The Bling Box Boutique, The Shop on Houston, Shirley Mae’s Bakery, General Mercantile Antiques, Cameron Beer Market, Texas Miller’s Hamburgers, and more.”

Don’t forget to explore our decorated historic downtown businesses as well as drive around town to view beautifully decorated homes.

“We invite you to stick around after the parade to enjoy the music and vendors to shop for local items for Christmas gifts,” Reed said. “Winners of the parade contest will be announced shortly after the fireworks.”

The next Christmas event is Dec. 16 when S’mores Holidays in Cameron with Movie Night and Elf Cart Parade will begin at 6 p.m. on the downtown square.
