We are overflowing with good quality Christmas decorations and items. Come see what we have! For more information, please come by and talk to our manager, Mrs. Lisa Condry. This year’s Thanksgiving food distribution was a great success with over 185 turkeys and food being furnished.  Thank you, Cameron Rotary Club, for helping us out!

Thank you, Cameron Lions Club, for coordinating and getting food to donate for this holiday season.  Thank you, students and staff of Cameron ISD, for donating canned foods and boxed food.  You all made a difference in our community.  Several members of our board of directors joined too.

As we prepare for Christmas, we are especially in need of food donations including canned sweet potatoes, cereal, canned pumpkin and canned corn or green beans. Also, cornbread mixes, stuffing mixes, cake mixes, cake frosting, evaporated milk, canned cranberry sauce and chicken broth.  The store will furnish a ham and carton of eggs along with the above-mentioned food this Christmas, as well.

If you choose, you can mail a tax-deductible donation to 300 South Houston Street, Cameron, Texas 76520 or come by the Thrift Shop which is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) community-based organization which serves all citizens of the area.

The Thrift Store board of directors met on Monday, Nov. 13, at 5 p.m. in the Family Life Center of the Cameron First Methodist Church.  Manager’s reports and financial summaries from October were presented

Ten individuals donated financially and with food to the Thrift Store in October.  Community, church financial and food donations for October include; Cameron First Baptist Church Care and Share, First Presbyterian Church, Crockett Street Church of Christ and First Baptist Church. Seven volunteers, including two CH Yoe High School students assisted in store operations. If you’d like to volunteer, just go by the Thrift Shop, we would appreciate your help!

Please remember the Thrift Shore has many other items besides clothing and food.  Come by and shop our selection of previously owned furniture, CDs, DVDs, and books, jewelry and other interesting treasures! We have a great selection!

If you would like to be a member of the Thrift Shop board of directors stop by and leave your name and the church you are representing with our store manager, Lisa Condry
