August Organization of the Month

Milam County Historical Museum was awarded Organization of the Month for August. Museums tell the story of our Milam County’s history, its people, and the land. Stop in and journey back in time.  Kyle Barrett, the new director, would be happy to assist you.  Margie Barkemeyer is the museum’s president. Did you know Charles Goodnight, of the Goodnight Trail once lived in Milam County? Go down and find out the story. The museum is scheduling speakers and other events for the community to enjoy.  If you have a historian in your family that has research information, or artifacts, please remember the museum is interested preserving the history of the, people, cities, and communities within the county.
