If you’re in need come by and talk with the manager about your situation and with the resources available you will be helped.

Also the Thrift Shop maintains a safe, clean area for you to shop in or bring your donations of food and other items. Currently the Thrift Shop would asked donors to consider putting some canned fruits in with other can goods that are donated.

The Board met earlier this month and recognized donations from February from the First Baptist Church of Cameron, All Saints Episcopal, New Beginnings Full Gospel, Little River Baptist Church, one individuals plus First Baptist Care and Share, and the Cameron Area Ministers Association amounting to $1,020. Also in February the United Methodist Church of Cameron, Edward Jones and two others gave food donations.

Five people were help with clothes and 90 with food and  four people volunteered at the Thrift Shop. If you want to volunteer, just show up at the Thrift Shop and ask for Betty any day the Thrift Shop is open.

Remember second-hand items are for sale at the Thrift Shop as well and from time to time furniture and appliances. All types of items are donated for resale so stop by. Check out the tags at the Thrift Shop. White tag $1 with the highest price tag being $8.

As always  the last week in the month most used clothing and other selected items are part of the 25 for $5. So plan to get by the Thrift Shop the last week of the month and take advantage of the 25 items for $5.
