Woman sentenced for stealing from booster club

Trisha Annette Jones, 41, of Milano, was placed on three years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine after pleading guilty to a State Jail Felony, Theft $2,500 to $30,000, last week. This stems from a November 2018 incident where Jones stole funds from the Milano Athletic Booster Club, of which she was an officer. This case was investigated by the Milam County Sheriff’s Department. To qualify for the above plea offer, Jones had to pay the full restitution of $8,022.72 to the Booster Club prior to the date of the plea. These students needed immediate repayment for the many supplies and events in the near future.
