JUDGE: Great events going on all across Milam County

The Rockdale Fair

Last week Rockdale held its 46th annual Fair.  What a huge success!  Thanks to all the youth of this County that worked so hard with an animal or a project.  These are truly our leaders of tomorrow.  We have outstanding 4H and FFA programs in Milam County and all you have to do is look at the work they produced at the Fair last week to know it.

Thanks to the hundreds of volunteers who work so hard to make the Fair a success. They do so much for so little and why?  It is all for the youth of this County.  The Fair is the largest single event of the county and over the years it has raised millions of dollars to support the youth of our county.

I was pleased to buy commercial heifers from two of our future leaders, Mallory Miller and Kloie Cargill. Both of these fine young ladies worked hard to raise two fine pens of heifers that made the sale. I was also pleased to be one of the judges for the rib cookoff. I tasted ribs from 22 different cookers!  Thanks to Julie Sulak and her entire crew for working so hard to make this a tremendous success!
