I had this article all written up, ready to submit, when my computer decided to wig out on me—throwing a tantrum like a petulant child. The keyboard was malfunctioning, deleting things randomly, so in my infinite wisdom I disabled the autosave feature to prevent further problems. I finished the article, forgot to hit save, and closed it out proud of myself—effectively selfdeleting all my carefully crafted verbiage. That ever happen to you?

What beautiful weather we are having. By the time you read this, we should be getting some of that precious rain. We need it so badly. Hope the weather people know for sure this time.

Students from Thorndale High School’s Family, Career and Community Leaders of America chapter turned in a strong showing at the 2026 Region IV Conference in Galveston, earning multiple state qualifications while competing against schools ranging from 1A to 6A.
