The Texas house of representatives passed the Primary Election Bill on Mar. 16, 1918, and ten days later Gov. William P. Hobby made it official in a special signing ceremony at the state capitol. At long last the women of Texas got the vote.

Well, we got a little rain but we need so much more. And it wasn’t nearly as much as we were told we would get. They are still predicting more, so maybe it will still happen.

Thorndale’s band programs made school history this week with outstanding performances at the Region 18/26 UIL Concert & Sight-Reading Evaluation in Bastrop. Both the middle and high school bands earned top honors, highlighting the district’s decade-long commitment to musical excellence.
