Yoe track team members headed to regionals

The Cameron Yoemen competed in the area track meet on April 14 and as a team they  finished second overall. 

Several athletes will be moving on to compete in the regional meet. 

Tracer Lopez and the two relay teams won first place in their respective races.

Lopez got first in the 300-meter hurdles.

The 4x100 relay team of Phaibian Bynaum, Tracer Lopez, Pharrell Hemphill and Ke’Vaughn Booze came in first place.

The 4x400 relay team of Braylan Drake, Booze, Javoun Goldsby and Tracer Lopez also came in first place.

Hemphill will move on to area after his third place finishes in the 100-meter hurdles, triple jump and high jump. Hemphill also placed fifth in the 200-meter hurdles.

Bynaum will head to regionals after a second place finish in the 200-meter.

Iverson Braziel will head to regionals after a second place finish in the 300-meter hurdles. He also had a fifth place finish in long jump.

Izayah Gallman will also move on after a third place finish in discuss.

Others placing were: Brent Wright - fifth in 110-meter hurdles and fourth in triple jump; Colby Arney - fifth in shot put; Tyler Martin - sixth in pole vault.

Regionals will be held at Midway High School on April 23 and 24.
