Practice makes perfect

The Yoemen kicked off their 2019 campaign with two-a-day workouts last Monday afternoon at Yoe Field. Yoe Head Coach Tommy Brashear said 94 athletes came out with hopes of making the team this year. The Yoemen will get the season under way with two scrimmages on Aug. 16 in Lorena and Aug. 22 at Yoe Field. Both games will see JV begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by varsity at 7 p.m. The Yoemen were ranked No. 4 by Dave Campbell and are expected to win District and compete for another State Title this season. They will open play against Mexia at Yoe Field on Aug. 30.
