Alba was born December 28, 1930, in Lexington to H.H. and Lydia Aulene (Connor) Fricke. She was the owner and operator of Quality Peanut Company for many years. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Cameron and an active member of her Sunday school class, Care & Share.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Billy and by the father of her children, Travis Anderson.

Alba was most at home working in her flowerbeds, but her love for gardening didn’t stop there. More times than anyone could count, her children and grandchildren would arrive home to find their flowerbeds freshly tended—without ever knowing when she had been there. It was just one of the many quiet ways she showed her love. She was an avid reader, Juanita Alba Anderson December 28, 1930 ~ April 20, 2026 loved animals, shopping and spending time with her dear friends. She was a woman defined by both grit and grace— we’d like to say she was an unyielding force of nature. Having lived through the Great Depression, Alba built a life centered on devotion: first as a wife, but even more so as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She taught all who knew her that kindness is one of life’s greatest strengths and leaves behind a legacy of resilience and love.

Alba is survived by her son, Mike Anderson and wife Dianne of Frisco; her daughter, Georgeena Arnett and husband Mike of Lexington; her grandchildren, Kenny Mingus and wife Heather, Katy Mingus Carter and husband Clay, Kris Anderson, Katherine Anderson, and Kim Anderson; her great-grandchildren, Avery Carter, Zack Carter, Kenan Mingus, and Karsyn Mingus; and sister, Karen Charles.
