Taking Off

Planes get ready to take off at the Cameron Municipal Airpark last week. Approximately $1.2 million for Cameron Municipal Airpark was approved by the Texas Transportation Commission last year for renovations to the airport that will begin in July. The funds will be used for planned airport improvements, which include pavement improvements. Project costs will be funded through the city of Cameron and TxDOT’s Aviation Facilities Grant Program, which preserves and improves the state’s general aviation system. The construction projects are expected to be completes near the beginning of 2021.
