Milam County residents are reminded to sign up for CodeRED alerts through the county’s website.

CodeRED will alert county residents when bad weather approaches like the stroms and tornadoes last week or when there is another event that warrants public information.

Visit the county’s website at https://www.milamcounty.net/page/milam.em.codered to sign up for CodeRED in your community and the county.

You can also text MILAM to 99411 to enroll.

With CodeRED, state and local agencies can deliver geo-targeted, time-sensitive information to individuals who have registered to receive alerts. Notifications can be sent via email, SMS, voice, mobile app push notifications, IPAWS and more depending on the severity of the situation.
