Race for Buckholts School Board contested in May

Buckholts Independent School District voters will have a big contest for school board in May.
On May 1 they will decide between nine candidates for three spots on the school board.
The three seats currently belong to Kerri Hernandez, Leslie Lorenz, and Jessie Benavidez.
The nine people vying for those spots are Kerri Hernandez, Leslie Lorenz, Jessie Benavidez, Chevo Velez, Ronnie Tanner, James Shelton, Angel Carrasco, Yesenia Duran, and Diana Alvarado
They were expected to draw for a place on the ballot on Thursday morning, Feb. 25.
