MCT to present ‘A Christmas Carol’ on radio

Milam Community Theater invites you to take a journey through Christmas past, present, and future with them ... and Ebenezer Scrooge as they present a shorter, adapted version of “The Christmas Carol” by Frederick Garrigus via radio.

As a new endeavor for the group they are in high hopes, with its success, that a radio broadcast may become a reoccurring event each Christmas season.

With a number of performances canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19 the MCT board is presenting this short broadcast as a way to say thank you to our patrons and members, to wish you all a Merry Christmas, and to remind everyone of the true meaning of this time of year.

With that being said, MCT is looking forward to a positive, theater-filled 2021 with adult theater performances of “Steel Magnolias,” “Nunsense – the Musical,” and “The Odd Couple.” Children’s Theater performances will be “Aladdin,” “Charlotte’s Web” (summer camp), and “A Wicked Christmas Carol.”

Keep the evening of Dec. 22 at 6 p.m. and tune into MCT’s radio production of “The Christmas Carol” on KRXT (Rockdale station 98.5) and on Dec. 21 at 6 p.m. on KMIL (Cameron Station 105.1 The Ranch.)
