Former Cameron officer indicted

A former Cameron police officer has been indicted for tampering with evidence.
James N. Sherer, 40, of Cameron, formerly employed as a Sergeant at Cameron Police Department, was indicted by the Milam County Grand Jury on Thursday for Third Degree Felony, Tampering with Evidence
This matter was presented to the Grand Jury by a local investigator and this case is being prosecuted by District Attorney Bill Torrey.
