COVID UPATE: Cases on the rise

COVID-19 cases have been on the rise over the last few weeks in Milam County.

Milam County Judge Steve Young said there were no cases report for the weekend, but on Saturday morning there were three new cases from Friday – two PCR cases and one antigen.

“No one was hospitalized and ten individuals were discharged from the monitored list,” Young said Saturday. “We tested eight individuals in Buckholts and one person was positive. Our next testing will be in Rockdale at the hospital on Monday. There were 33 new cases over last week. The active list is as high as it has been in some time. So be mindful that the virus is alive and well and that it will attack anyone. Wear your mask and keep your distance.”
