Child dead after weekend crash

A child is dead after a major accident near Milano on Sunday afternoon.
The Milam County Sheriff`s Office, Cameron Volunteer Fire Department, Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department, Milano Volunteer Fire Department, and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers responded just before 4 p.m. Sunday to a two-vehicle collision on US 190/TX36 in the Griffin Chapel area, about a mile north of Milano.
Authorities said a child died in the crash.
Three other children and two adults also sustained injuries.
Medical helicopters and several ambulances were called out to take the victims to the hospital. No other details were released.
