Accident shuts down Highway 79 in Milano

US Highway 79 is shut down just west of the North Highway 36 intersection in Milano.
Accoring to a Facebook post by Milam County Sheriff Chris White an 18-wheeler is overturned at that location and it will take some time to upright in order to clear for traffic - possibly several hours.
For anyone needing to travel east or south on 36 from Milano, you should take 77 north or south to bypass the blocked roadway both Highway 36 intersections in Milano are open for north, south and east bound traffic.
