Thorndale Cares Launches Annual ‘Adopt-AFamily’ Christmas Drive
The spirit of the season is calling, and the Thorndale community is answering. The Thorndale Cares initiative has officially launched its annual Adopt-A-Family Christmas Drive for 2025, inviting local residents and businesses to help brighten the holidays for children, families, and elderly individuals in need.

Milam County Historical Museum and 1895 Jail10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – The Milam County Historical Museum and 1895 Jail are open Thursday through Saturday. Cameron Fleur-de-Lis Garden Club Raffle-The Cameron Fleurde- Lis Garden Club is holding a fundraising raffle for a queen-size “Tulips Garden” quilt. Tickets are $5 each or five for $20. The drawing will be held Dec. 9. Funds support scholarships, programs and other initiatives. The winner does not need to be present. For tickets, contact any Garden Club member.
Weekly Basketball Results and Schedules
Basketball season is underway, with several area teams hitting the court, while others wind up their football and volleyball seasons. Girls teams have already began their seasons. Due to the current UIL football playoffs, many of the boys teams will not begin their season until Nov. 21, or Nov. 24, unless advancing to the next round, then the start date will be later.
