Low Voter Turnout, High Stakes
When we head to the polls later this month for the November 4th election, we won’t find presidential hopefuls or high-profile governors on the ballot. Instead, they’ll face 17 proposed amendments to the state constitution — a slate of measures that touch on everything from property taxes and bail requirements to agriculture, parental rights, and even whether lawmakers can ever impose an inheritance tax.
