El Camino Real and Milam County Historical Commission Bring History to Life for Cameron 4th Graders

As part of Texas Archeology month in Milam County, El Camino Real de los Tejas National Historic Trail Association (ElCaT) and the Milam County Historical Commission presented a lesson on Early Archeology and Frontiersman Life to Cameron’s 4 th Grade students on Friday, October 10. The group is available to present throughout the year.
Free Texas Watershed Steward Workshop in Cameron Oct. 20

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host a free Texas Watershed Steward workshop on Monday, Oct. 20, in Cameron. Topics will include water quality, water quality law, agricultural and urban best management practices, hydrology, and watershed and land management, with a focus on Big Elm Creek and surrounding watersheds.
