The District 27-2A crosscountry meet was held at Friendship Park at Lake Granger last Monday, as the Thorndale varsity girls claimed first place, and Rosebud- Lott finished in fourth. Juniors Raven Sandoval (District Champion), Skielee Bear, and Nadia Gonzalez finished the two-mile course in first, second, and third place, while sophomore Cheyenne Stevenson made the Top 10 at No. 7. Sandoval’s time was 13:14.0 as she claimed the No. 1 spot, Bear finished second with a time of 13:27.0, and was followed by Gonzalez with a time of 13:44.0.
Lot’s of excitement this past Friday as several area teams hosted homecoming games, and a few started their district schedule. Of course, there were lots of surprises as well. Let’s take a look at how games went, and where teams will play this coming Friday.
The Cameron Yoe crosscountry teams all competed at the District 19-3A meet held on Monday, October 6, at Cameron Junior High School.
