Bulldogs fall to Granger, set for Riesel

The Thorndale Bulldogs football team hosted the Granger Lions. The Bulldogs were defeated 38-7. 

In the first quarter, the Lions put themselves ahead early with two touchdowns and took a 14-0 lead. Thorndale put themselves on the scoreboard with a 13-yard touchdown run from Kaden Kovar to Jayden Clawson to make the score 14-7. Granger scored the lone points of the second quarter with a 33-yard touchdown pass for a 21-7 lead.

Granger dominated the second half, shutting out Thorndale 17-0 to win 38-7. Kaden Kovar had a good game as he threw for 82 yards. Jayden Clawson played well, rushing for 48 yards and a touchdown. 

Up next for Thorndale will be a road game against the Riesel Indians. The game will be on Friday and kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
