ARVIS BURRELL TURNER

Burrell Turner, aka PoPo, departed this life on July 27, 2025, at the age of 91. Born in Jones Prairie, Texas, on October 10, 1933. Burrell lived a life marked by hard work, unwavering devotion, and deep love for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Marietta Turner; his brother L.W. Turner; his twin brother Earl Turner; and his sister Ruth Lagrone. Burrell is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Lorene Conley Turner- his best friend and constant companion.

He leaves behind his son, Rick Turner, and wife Linda; daughter Janet Turner; granddaughter Randi Turner; grandson Nate Turner and wife Natalie; and three cherished great-grandchildren who he loved to spoil, Aarilynn Lerma, Champ Turner, and Crue Turner. Burrell also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Burrell’s life was centered around the people he loved. He will be remembered for his deep bond he shared with Lorene- a love that inspired all who knew them. Burrell found joy in reading, working in his yard, and “piddling” with anything mechanical. With a talent for fixing things, he approached every projectwhether a broken clock or tangled engine, with patience and ingenuity.

His love for the outdoors was reflected by bike riding and the yard he tended to with pride. His legacy lives on in the memories held by his family and the people he touched. May he rest in eternal peace. Special thanks to the Hospice nurses from St. David’s Round Rock.
